Obituary of Anthony Politano

Anthony " Tony" "The Pope" Politano , 76, of Yonkers, New York passed away on June 27, 2018. Tony, a retired member of the 32BJ Union, was a proud member of the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles", He always said "It was my greatest honor to serve my country". Tony enjoyed every day to the fullest. He loved a good meal, a glass of wine and spending time with his friends at Foxwoods and the track. His sense of humor, generosity, love of fishing and mushroom picking will be remembered fondly by both friends and family alike. Tony is survived by his twin brother John, sister Debbie, children Marie Beckinger, Laura Mallard and Seth Politano, his grandchildren Logan Beckinger, Hunter Beckinger, Elizabeth Mallard and Jonathan Mallard, 3 great grand children, and his many nieces and great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grace and John Politano and his brother Carmine. At Tony's request, no formal services will be held. A private celebration of his life will occur at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Hospital
