Obituary of Estefana Acuna

Estefana Apolinar Acuna died at Sharon Hospital, in Sharon CT, at the age of 85 on Monday July 30, 2018 Mrs Acuna was born in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico on January 2, 1933 to Ysabel & Cosme Perez. She came to the United States in 1959 and met the love of her life. On January 23, 1960, she married Ignacius "Nash" Acuna of Bedford Hills, NY Mrs Acuna worshiped at St. Mathias Roman Catholic Church in Bedford Hills. She is predeceased by her husband Nash Acuna, son Richard Acuna, brother Socorro Perez and sister Nemoria Perez Vargas. Many have a long list of accomplishments throughout their lives. After coming to the U.S. Mrs Acuna focused solely on her marriage, her family and her faith. Her husband was well known throughout the Town of Bedford and Mt Kisco but as the old saying goes, Behind every successful man there is a strong woman. They made a great team. Her love and dedication for her husband and family was hidden from the spotlight but she shined through by the love and devotion that everyone had for her. She is survived by her 5 children. Sons, Larry Acuna of NJ, Joe Acuna of Saugerties, Carlos Acuna of Lagrange, Carmen Acuna of Bedford Hills, Vicky Jasmin of Amenia, NY, 16 grandchildren, Todd,Kate, Anna, Nicholas, Jim, Kelly, Patrick, Melissa Ashley, Kyle, Amanda, Krystal, Adam, Tyler, Nicholas, Holly, brother Cirilo Perez, sisters Antonina and Carmen Perez Vargas, 4 inlaws, Manuel and Lee Acuna & Rosie and Joe Gomez
