Obituary of Tae H. Kwon

Please share a memory of Tae to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dr. Tae H. Kwon, of Briarcliff Manor, NY, passed away on Sept 20, 2018. Tae is survived by his wife Munja Kwon, and his sons Young Kwon and John Kwon. Tae had five grandchildren. Tae devoted his life to medicine and helping others, and practiced gynecologic oncology for many years in Westchester County. Tae was born in Taegu, South Korea in 1941, and received his medical degree from Seoul National University in South Korea before marrying in 1969 and moving with his new wife to the United States. Together, Tae and Munja built a new life, starting in New York, where both sons were born. Tae's medical training took him around the US, and the family lived in New York, Maryland, and Mississippi during the 1970's and 1980's. Tae developed a love for golf in his 40's, and a fondness for gardening later in life. Tae spent many years focused on patient care, and only when he retired did he really focus on taking care of himself. If you wish to make a donation on Tae's behalf, please donate to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Tae served as a medical officer for South Korea during the Vietnam War. The family would appreciate any photos of Tae that are meaningful to you. Please send photos to memoriesoftae@gmail.com. Thank you. Visitation is on Friday September 28, 2018 from 3-6 pm, with a memorial service from 5-6 pm, at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, located at 262 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
