Grace A. LaBadia (nee Rizzo) formerly of the Bronx and Yonkers passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. Grace was born on May 8, 1927 in the Bronx to Gaetano and Annunziata Magistro Rizzo. Educated in the Bronx, Grace went on to become a secretary at McKesson & Robbins in Manhattan, Drivers Training Institute (DTI) in the Bronx and lastly for the County of Westchester in Valhalla. After McKesson & Robbins she stayed home to raise her 3 children. Grace volunteered her time at St. Paul the Apostle Church's Altar Guild and the School's Reading Program. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Ciro LaBadia, Sr., great granddaughter Emmalee LaBadia, brothers Joseph, Salvatore and Frank, and sister Carrie Meoni. Grace is survived by her loving children, Mella (Larry) Oliveri, Ciro, Jr. (Joanne) and Nancy (Frank) Alexander, adored grandchildren Ciro III (Amanda), Janine (Dan), Joseph (Jill), Frankie (Kelly), Nicky and Joe. Cherished GG (Great Grandma) to Isabelle, Ciro IV and Dylan. Also survived by her dear sister Nina Monforte and many beloved nieces and nephews. Grace will be remembered for her love of her family, the New York Yankees, bingo and playing cards with her grandkids. Her passing will leave a huge void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We're raising a whiskey sour to honor her memory. Friends may call on Tuesday from4 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:45 at St. Paul the Apostle, 602 McLean Avenue, Yonkers. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
