Obituary of Robert Paul Mistal

Robert Paul Mistal, a longtime Yonkers resident, formerly of Chatham County NC and Litchfield County CT, died peacefully on November 20, 2018 at the age of 73. Robert was born June 25,1945 to Matthew and Caroline (Florkowski) Mistal in Yonkers NY. He graduated from Gorton HS, 1964 and is an alumni of Westchester Community College. He later worked for many years as an auditor for the NYS Dept. Of Taxation. Robert is survived by his wife Gemma (Aurigemma) Mistal and six stepchildren; TinaMarie (Pica) Kowalczyk of Gaylordsville CT, Louis Pica and Frederick Pica of Pittsboro NC, Edith Pica of Shrub Oak NY, Theresa Pica of Warwick RI, and Anthony Pica of Red Hook NY. He is the dear brother of Paula (Mistal) Petryssyn and husband Michael of New Windsor NY and the late Bernard Mistal and wife Eileen of Yonkers NY. Robert is the loving uncle to Joseph Petryssyn, Bernadette Napolitano and Matthew Mistal. And Great Uncle to Emelia Petryssyn, Gabriel and Serafina Mistal. Friends may call at the Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers NY, Saturday December 1, 2018 from 9AM to 10:30AM, followed by Mass at St. Bartholomew Church, 15 Palmer Road , Yonkers NY at 11AM.
