Obituary of Irene B. Bennett

Irene Bridget Bennett, a resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY died September 9, 2009. Born April 9, 1924 in New York City to the late Mary Madden and Raymond Clifford, she was 85 years young. Raised and educated in New York City, Irene is finally re-united with her late husband James Bennett. Irene and her loving family lived in Hastings for over 50 years. Irene is survived by her dear sister Elizabeth Buchanan, four sons; James, John, Joseph, and Charles Bennett and four daughters: Mary Russell, Kitty St. Onge, Bridget Sander, and Nancy Fulga and their loving spouses, 19 precious grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all whom she adored. Irene had many accomplishments, most notably raising her eight children joyfully with such vibrant faith and vitality. Irene's energy, strength and optimism will be cherished always by her many friends and family. Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring Street on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
