Jean Paccione, 91, a long-time City Island resident died peacefully on January 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Jean grew up on the lower east side of Manhattan. Daughter of late Pasqualina (Piccininni) and Raphael Mitorotonda. She had one sister, Angela. Jean was the heart and soul of her beloved family. She always had quick sense of humor to lighten any situation, as well as a compliment to brighten anyone's day. Jean was the loving wife of the late Maurie Paccione who she always mentioned was the very best husband. Devoted mother of Margaret (Mike) Vrettos, Mauro (Helen) Paccione, Patrice (Thomas) Gambardella and Ralph Paccione. She is also survived by seven adoring grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call the Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers, N.Y. 10704, on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in City Island followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Queens N.Y.
