Obituary of Joseph Petroni

Joseph Petroni, 81, of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Joseph is survived by his wife Ida of 55 years, son Attilio and daughters Trina and Judy. Grandchildren Nicholas, Marianna, Trina and Brooks. He is also survived by his brother's Antonio, Gerardo and Lorenzo, his sister Rosa as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Joseph loved carpentry and worked as a contractor for over 40 years until he retired. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and wine maker. He also loved his vegetable gardens. Joseph was always there for his family and would help anyone with any carpentry projects or whatever else they needed him to do. You can rest assure that "Uncle Joe" would be there for you. A special thanks to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers for their loving care and support. Also, thank you to Sinatra Funeral Home for making the arrangement process effortless during these hard times. Friends and family may call the Sinatra Memorial Home on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, N.Y. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Sinatra Memorial Home. Entombment will immediately follow concluding the funeral service at the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
