Obituary of Joan Garrity

Joan Garrity, 92, of Yonkers NY passed away peacefully Friday, January 18th, 2019 after a long illness.

Born February 12th, 1926 in Bronx NY was predeceased by Samuel and Lucy Alderese as well as 4 siblings She was predeceased by her late husband Edward J Garrity Survived by her 3 children Patricia, Michael, and Kathleen Garrity, 3 Grandchildren as well as 3 Great Grandchildren Joan was an active member of her community and Church always helpful to others Some of her joys were her family, St Paul's Church and singing in the Choir, St Pauls Leisure Club Widow and Widowers, Volunteer of St Joseph's Hospital She loved to travel, dance and sing play Bingo, and other games. Let's not forget Casinos eating out but a nice home cooked meal was more important to her. She enjoyed her long life immensely.

Accepted things as they were without a whimper or a complaint. Joan lived life in a positive light and always with a smile She was very loved by all and had lots of friends. I could write a book of love for our loving Mother Joan Memorial Services will be conducted to celebrate Joan Garrity's life at Sinatras Memorial Funeral Home

499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers NY on Wednesday January 23rd, 2019 Hours from 2pm to 6pm On Thursday, January 24th, 2019 9am Fair well at Sinatras, 10am mass at St Paul's Church, McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY Followed by grave site service in New Rochelle at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
