Elizabeth (Betsy) Dershuck Gay, a long time resident of Armonk died in her home on September 7, 2007 at the age of 81. Born in Philadelphia on November 27, 1927 and a graduate of Sweet Briar College, Betsy was married to Frank Lipscomb Gay in 1955 until his death in 1985. She was an avid golfer and artist, teaching watercolor and exhibiting her art in many venues in Westchester and Connecticut over a 40 year period. She deeply loved her husband who predeceased her, and her three children, Frank and wife Debbie, Jack and wife Amy, and Bill and wife Mary who survive her. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, five nieces, and nephews, and one sister. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 11 at 10:30 am at the Round Hill Community Church in Greenwich, CT and will be followed by a reception. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. Betsy was particularly characterized by her love and devotion to her husband and children, and will be remembered as an active, artistic and loving woman who was deeply committed to her family and friends.
