Pedro will be missed by the scouting organization in Westchester and Putnam Counties. I was able to spend some quality time last year during our WoodBadge program and his energy and enthusiasm enhanced the entire experience. His interest in making the souting experience the best possible for all scouts was obvious.
I know scouting's loss cannot compare that that of his family and friends but I want them to know what a wonderful leader Pedro was and the legacy he will leave with all those he touched. I will miss him very much.

Dear paula and Kristian, I know Pedro through Scouts, particularly Woodbadge. He was a wonderful person adn I would like to share one memory. In his patrol there was a woman in a wheel chair. She had a difficult time getting around and participating. Pedro immediately came to her assistance. Throughout the entire course, he carried her and her chair, wheeled her up and down trails and ramps. It was tiring for everyone but Pedro helped her continuosly without complaint and with a smile on his face. He represented the best in scouting and I was proud to have known him. I did not know you but it is always a bitter-sweet moment when someone passes from this Earth to the heavens above us. Sad because we are saying goodbye to a son of the Lord but happy because we comfort in the fact that we shall one day meet you in heaven. It is as Eduardo says: energy is neither created nor destroyed. It is only passed on. Your energy remains in the hearts of the people who knew and did not know you; and that energy is one that inspires us to do great things and to anticipate our arrival to Heaven where we are reunited with the ones we love.
