Obituary of Salvatore Caruso

Salvatore Caruso, age 76, died February 24, 2019.

Born on December 6, 1942 in Belmonte Calabro, Italy. Preceded in death by his parents Costantino and Maria Esterina Caruso.

Salvatore is survived by his wife of Rosaria Caruso, his sister Anna Bonavita, and his daughters Tina (Marcello) Osso and Anna Marie (Antonio) Osso. He is also survived by his grandsons Francesco and Antonio Osso as well as his granddaughters Gabriella, Sofia, and Liliana Osso. Salvatore and his family came to the United States in 1963 with true passion in his heart. He completed his education in Belmonte Calabro, Italy. Salvatore worked in the super-market and grocery industry for many years. In 1968, Salvatore married Rosaria, his wife of 50 years, in Belmonte Calabro, Italy. Since then, he has raised a beautiful, hard-working family of love and compassion.

Services to be held at Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, New York 10704. Visitation hours Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm as well as Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm, 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
