Obituary of Peter J. Morreale
Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the Morreale family is announcing the passing of one of the greatest men we have ever known, Peter J. Morreale. He passed away on Friday March 15, 2019 at 90 years old. He leaves behind his sons and daughter in laws Daniel/Victoria, Peter/Tina, Paul/ Patricia, and daughter Frances/Dario as well as his seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was loved by many and everyone that has crossed his path in life only has kind words to say about what an easy going, caring, and generous man he was.
Family was everything to Peter, he always put his families needs ahead of his own. Most of our greatest family memories that we all made where at his home on Hayward Street that he shared with his late wife Millie. Every Sunday was pasta day and the gravy was on whether you were planning on eating or not.
All oh his children and grandchildren have great memories with him ranging from laying on the floor and doing his hair, sneaking ice cream, going in the pool, doing construction projects around the house, going to Long Beach, Disney World, or just spending time sitting in the backyard while he watched his grandchildren play.
He was well respected in his profession as a civil engineer for New York State Department of Transportation. To this day past co-workers became more like extended family as they still kept in touch until the very end of his life. He was also in the Marine core where he became the house barber. He was and will always be known as the "Chief".
