Obituary of Concetta DeLuca

Please share a memory of Concetta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Connie, age 81, was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Argenio) Santella. She grew up, met, and married her husband Anthony and had her two children in Brooklyn. In 1977, Connie and Tony moved their family to Armonk, NY where she was living at the time of her passing. After raising her two children, Connie worked full time for many years as a Customer Service Specialist and retired in 2006 from her position at a Jewelry Importing Company. Connie loved people. She loved talking to her many friends daily, and always welcomed visitors into her home. Connie was kind and generous to everyone. To know her was to love her. She cherished her friends, many of whom were more like family to her, including Maryanne Grisafi, Marilyn Garcia, Joanne Hamill, and Marion Cavello. Connie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tony; her son Chris DeLuca (Daniela); daughter Dawn Ferrucci (Johnny); and granddaughters Stefania and Gabriela DeLuca. Connie is also survived by her brother Anthony Santella (Marilyn), and her sister Marie. Connie's greatest love in life was family. She loved unconditionally. In her final days, when asked how she was feeling, she'd smile and say, "Happy. I am with my family". Please join us in celebrating Connie's life at a memorial mass on Saturday, April 13th at 1pm. Mass will be at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison St, West Harrison, NY. In lieu of flowers, and at Connie's request, donations to benefit the orphaned animals at SPCA of Westchester located in Briarcliff Manor, NY are welcome.
