Mount Kisco - Robert George Marinelli of Mount Kisco, NY passed away on May 7, 2019 while in the loving care of The Rosary Hill Home. Robert, better known as Bud, was born on September 27, 1950 in Mount Kisco to Robert Anthony and Georgiana (MacNamara) Marinelli. As the eldest child of Robert and Georgiana, he is survived by his loving sister, Janice N. Marinelli and her husband Keith Turman of Summerville, South Carolina. Robert was predeceased by his younger brother Thomas Marinelli. He also leaves behind an aunt, Marilyn Alban, many cousins and friends.

 

Robert was a key family member of the Marinelli's retail establishment on Main Street in Mount Kisco for many years. He was an expert bicycle mechanic, selling and repairing Schwinn bicycles during his formative years. Later in life, he became a special bartender to many patrons of local restaurants.

 

Robert was a gentle soul and exhibited a caring devotion and generosity to others. With a keen sense of humor, warm smile, and twinkling eyes he saw the good in everyone and he enjoyed life one moment at a time. His zest for classic movies, the New York Giants, and the Yankees were pillars of his world. His keen intellect led him to finish many a New York Times Crossword Puzzle in record time.

 

Visitation will commence on Friday, May 10th at 10:30 a.m. followed immediately by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E Main St, Mt Kisco, NY 10549

Interment will take place at St. Francis Cemetery in Mount Kisco.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 or to Hospice Care in Westchester County, NY a program funded through The VNA and Hospice Care Foundation of Hudson Valley.
