Giuseppe "Joe" Nistico, born August 24, 1922 in Cardinale Italy, passed away on May 6, 2019. He was 96. He served in the Italian Army from 1939 until 1942. He married Elisa DeGori on July 8, 1946. Joe settled in the United States in 1954 and shortly thereafter he founded Nistico's Italian Imports Retail and Wholesale for 60 years, until he retired at the age of 87. His passion in life, besides his family, was his love of making homemade wine with many of his family members and taking care of his award-winning vegetable and flower garden. Joe is survived by his wife Elisa of 73 years, his sons Carlo ( Susan Bottino) and Rinaldo, his daughters, Marisa, Bruna, Eleanor ( Joseph Cardoso ), Lucia, and Carol ( Eddie Masterson ), his 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 sister in laws, Lucia, Norina, Giuseppina and many nieces and nephews .He was predeceased by his 2 daughters Isa Natalina and Graziella Maria, his 3 sisters, Natalina, Anna, Savina, and his 2 brothers, Alfonso and Domenico. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:45am at St. John The Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530
