Obituary of Richard J. Vizzini Richard J. Vizzini Richard J. Vizzini, age 91, of Yonkers, New York died peacefully on May 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in the Bronx and predeceased in death by his parents, Angela (nee Cerbone) and Charles and sibling, John. Richard was the devoted husband of Annette (nee Bonsignore). He was a loving father to Anne Marie Iannizzi, Frances, Angela Forese and Richard Jr. and adoring Pop Pop to Angela Martin (Peter) and Emily Forese. Richard served in the Navy before joining the FDNY. During his 31 years as a Firefighter, he held many offices in the Uniformed Firefighters Association; and proudly served two terms as President in 1973- 75 and 1977-79. He will forever be remembered by all who loved him. Visitation will be held at The Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4pm to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 16, 2019 at 9:45am at the Immaculate Conception Church, East Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory can be made to the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
