Alfred D. DeStefano, age 79, of Yonkers died Friday, September 25, 2009. Mr. DeStefano was born August 21, 1930 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late Dominick and Dora (Fragnoli) DeStefano. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 during Korean war. He was an avid boxing fan and lifelong Redskins fan. He was devoted to his cat "Riggo" and he enjoyed his crossword puzzles, his drawings and his trips to the casino. He was employed by the City of Yonkers. Dear brother of Connie Nuzzolese, Loving Uncle of Donna (Timothy) Fitzpatrick, Robert DeStefano and several other nieces and nephews. He his also survived by his sister in law Mary DeStefano and a grand-nephew, Brandon. Predeceased by his Brother, Anthony DeStefano, Angelo DeStefano, James DeStefano, and Dominick DeStefano. He will be missed by all his dear family and friends. Friends may call on Monday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7PM to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 at Holy Name Of Jesus Church, New Rochelle. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers.
