Caroline Marion (Amorossi) Timan, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15th, 2019. Carol was born in Yonkers, NY on August 1st, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mafalda Amorossi. Carol was raised and educated in Yonkers and later became a long-time resident of Barryville before moving to the Bronx. Carol worked as a social worker in Westchester County, became a foster parent and later adopted three of her beloved children, Irene, Tara, and Wayne Timan. Carol then worked as a Direct Support Provider for Crystal Run Village in Barryville, NY where she supported the mentally disabled. In addition, she ran the lunch program for the local Senior Center. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with her family. Carol leaves behind her husband of fifty-three years, Joseph Timan. Together, they lovingly raised nine children. Carol is predeceased by her two sons, John Edward Wixon and Eric James Timan and a daughter Elizabeth Ann Wixon. Carol leaves behind her six children, Catherine (Wixon) Riina and her husband Vincent, her daughter-in-law Karen Wixon, William Wixon and his wife Jacqueline, James Wixon and his wife Gail, Irene Timan, Tara Timan, and Wayne Timan. Her twelve cherished grandchildren, Christina, Alyssa, Alexis, Erica, Ashley, Michael, Vinny Boy, Joanna, Nicholas, Anthony, Christa and Gia. Carol leaves behind her siblings Lucille, Grace, and Donald. She was predeceased by several siblings, Sam, Richard, and Barbara. Carol will always be remembered by her strong will, work ethic, and big heart.Services will be at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers on Saturday, September 21st, from 11 AM – 1 PM.
