Hi Sandra and family and everybody. I had just received a check for my 60th birthday from Carrie (which is how I always spelled it) August 30. We had plans to go to Poughkeepsie for her birthday and have dinner. I called the past week and got the recording. Yesterday I stopped by to see what was wrong and the girl next door told me. I was absolutely crushed. I will never forget the kindness she and John showed to me when I first met them. unfortunately I didn’t find out until last night and I was crushed. That’s the only word I can use to describe it. Many of times we shared so much when I lived at the homestead. Which will always feel more like home to me than anywhere . So sorry. Love eddie

Dear Sandra and Family, I was saddened when I heard that Carrie has passed away, but after seeing her picture on line I smiled remembering all the wonderful times we had running from Linden Street to Willow Street. My mom ( Norma Smith 1939-2009) worked with Cari at UPS I was Friends withh John . She was very nice to me.I lived across the street from her.(on the terrace) I am so sorry for your lost. Dorene
