Tio Abraham,
May your soul fly high
into our Lords paradise.
It's taken me some time
to arrive here with my
thoughts about your presence
in my life. My first memory
of you was when I was all
of 7 years old.
You saved me from a spanking
that Monse had in store for me
for fighting with a boy.
You scooped me up and
gently told Monse you would
" Talk with Miti ", I held onto
you for dear life as my Great
Grandma was a no nonsense
lady. I smile through tears as
you always showered me in
genuine kindness and love.
Our last conversation was
this past May.I am grateful
for your words of encouragement.
I reminded you of that summer
day on Madison Avenue when
I got into the fist fight.
We laughed.
Like that memory, I have many
as you were a presensce in
My life you guided me gently
to understand many of life's
lessons.
You, I cherished,respected
and will always remember
with a loving heart.
Rest in peace, Tio you did
good by this kid.
