Obituary of Bienvenido Carrasquillo Jr.

Bienvenido (Pepito) Carrasquillo, Jr. of Yonkers, NY passed away on December 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was 88 years old. He was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico on June 28, 1931 to Bienvenido Carrasquillo, Sr and Catalina Rodriguez. Bienvenido worked for Aqua Gulf of Bayonne, NJ as a Bookkeeper. On May 3, 1958 he married Carmen Galan at the Pentecostal Church of God in the Bronx. He served Honorably in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War Era earning the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Pepito was an avid Met's fan, enjoyed getting together with family and friends and loved to Barbeque and cook for all. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carmen Carrasquillo of Yonkers, NY and three children; daughter Yvette Carrasquillo of Carmel, and two sons, Orlando Carrasquillo and his wife, Carolina and Oscar Carrasquillo both of Yonkers. One grandson, Christopher (Ingrid) Torres and a great granddaughter, Sophia. Also survived by two sisters, Minerva, Delia and two brothers, Jorge and Carlos all of Puerto Rico. Predeceased by his parents, one brother, Manuel and a sister, Nellie. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 4pm to 8pat Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave. Yonkers, NY. Funeral Service will be held during visitation at 6:30pm. Also a brief funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th at 10:00am at the funeral home . Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to James J. Peters VAMC, Voluntary Service (135), 130 W.
