Beloved husband, father and Grandfather Joseph Rich passed away at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx on December 18, 2019. Joseph was born in Yonkers, New York, on June 11, 1934 to Margaret O'Brien and Joseph "Pip" Rich (Ricciardi). He was inducted into the United States Armed Forces on March 11, 1953 and was honorably discharged on February 28, 1961 after being removed from the Standby Reserve. He retired from the City of Yonkers DPW (Teamsters 456) in 1991 after 35 years of service. A lifelong Yonkers resident, he was a member and onetime president of the 7th Ward Democratic Club in the 1970's. He was also a longtime parishioner of Mt. Carmel. Joseph was predeceased by his sisters Caroline Ragone (Falco), Anna Marie De Poto (Nicholas) and his daughter Diane Rich. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jean (Losco), his sister Margaret O'Brien (Francis) and three daughters Margaret Rich, JoAnn Tamarazzo (Alfred) and Jeanne Rodriguez (Frank). He is also survived by his six grandchildren Frank Joseph Rodriguez, Jenny Rose Rodriguez, Jenna Tamarazzo, JoAnna Tamarazzo, Freddy Tamarazzo, and Jillian Tamarazzo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers donations to the Special Olympics in his name or to his widow Jean would be greatly appreciated; interment private.
