Angelina "Rose" Sullivan (Nee Florio). Born March 12, 1920 in Hudson, NY to Charles and Pasqualina Florio. Married October 1, 1949 to Raymond V. Sullivan in St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers. Survived by her two sons, Raymond (wife Donna) and Thomas. Also survived by her three wonderful granddaughters Samantha, Alexa and Daniella, and their mother Joanne Arcieri Sullivan. Rose was predeceased by two sisters, Leona Esposito and Florence Capelli and two brothers Carl and John Florio.Rose lived her early life on a farm in Germantown, NY. She was the tomboy of the three girls. There was no farm chore she couldn't do, no tree too high to climb, and she could run faster than the boys. During WWII Rose left the farm with her sisters to work in the Sikorsky Aircraft Factory in Connecticut. She was the real life Rosie the Riveter in charge of quality control. After her marriage she stayed at home to raise her two sons. She was active in many school and church activities at St. John the Baptist. She loved to cook, bake, garden and listen to Al Martino and Frank Sinatra. She was a kind giving person who was always helping and caring for someone. Rose spent her later years living in Rockland County under the wonderful care of her son Raymond and his wife Donna. Hers was a life well lived. Friends may call on Friday January 3rd from 4-8pm at Community Home for Funerals 601 Yonkers Avenue Yonkers, NY. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 4th 10:30am St. John the Baptist Church 670 Yonkers Avenue Yonkers, NY. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Hawthorne, NY.
