Rosalind (Rose) Angioli (née Villano), age 89, of Yonkers, passed away on January 5, 2020, at Einstein Medical Center
Rose was born on July 7, 1930, in the Bronx, NY, to Patrick and Anna (Fischella) Villano. She met Mark Angioli and they married on July 4th 1953. They would remain together for 53 years until his passing in 2007.
Rose and Mark would live in the Bronx until the mid-70's, when they purchased a house and moved to Yonkers, where they lived happily for the remainder of their time together. They built a happy home there with family and many long-standing friends.
Rose did many things throughout her life, but she remembered most fondly her time as a school aid at the Hawthorne School in Yonkers. She spent many years there working with the students and found that very rewarding.
She did many other things. She was very gifted and loved to knit and crocete She was active in several organizations, chief among them was the Sons of Italy. She and her husband had many friends and good times there. She would become active in Seniors later in life.
She is survived by her son Mark Jr., her daughter-in-law Mary Joyce and her grandchildren, Mark III, Terese and Nicholas. She is also survived by her extended family, who she held very dear.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 8 from 4-8pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY.
A Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 9 at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY
