Joan Tighe, a life-long resident of Yonkers, New York, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Born in 1931, Joan worked as an assistant librarian at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert Tighe, on December 16, 1991.
But above all, Joan was a loving mother to her four sons, Robert, Kevin, Edward, and Michael. Joan was also a loving grandmother to her 10 grandchildren, and mother-in-law to Mary Ann and Patricia Tighe.
Joan is survived by her sister Evelyn Walsh, her 10 beautiful grandchildren, and her three sons Robert, Kevin, and Edward; predeceased by her youngest son, Michael - all of whom she shared in life's best memories with.
If Joan wasn't on her way to play slots in Atlantic City, reading a Nora Roberts novel, she was with her family, or enjoying her favorite, pasta with meat sauce, progresso soup, and the best for last - a hot cup of coffee.
We will miss Joan and her love, but we remember her as the loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she always was.
