Aggie was born November 18, 1949 in Bronx, NY to her adoring parents Marie and the late Albert Carbone. Prior to moving to Bronxville, she was a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY. Aggie graduated in 1967 from Commerce High School. She was employed at St. John's Riverside Hospital as a Unit Secretary for over 32 years, during which time she also held a position as Union Delegate for 1199. A servant of her community, a long time board member of the building she resided in. A part time Hair Stylist for over 50 years...and a 20-year volunteer for the Look Good Feel Better program helping cancer patients restore their feeling of beauty at St. John's Riverside Hospital. For the last 11 years at St. John's she dedicated herself to the betterment of the cancer patients and families on the Oncology unit, 7 West. She was larger than life, a positive spirit and beautiful inside & out. Her joyful personality gave all who knew her lasting memories of laughter and happiness. She loved Italian cooking, sayings, and serving her family, friends, & coworkers. Early Sunday mornings she could be found at the beach. She committed her life to her family. She is survived by her loving mother and devoted daughter Rachel (Joseph) Caruso of Eastchester, NY and the love of her life, grandson Lorenzo Caruso and dog Pep. Her brother Nicholas Carbone of Frisco, TX his children and grandchildren, aunts, cousins, and dear friends. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff who surpassed expectations in caring for her during her illness at St. John's Riverside Hospital. Your genuine kindness, support, and love that came full circle will never be forgotten. Another big thank you to her friends who were at her bedside who prove to be more like family. Family & friends are invited on Sunday, January 19th for visitation at Community Home for Funerals, 601 Yonkers Avenue 2-4pm; 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 20th at Immaculate Conception Church 53 Winter Hill Road Tuckahoe, NY at 10:30am.
