Obituary of Ralph L. Briggs

Ralph was born in Armonk, N.Y. on June 22, 1923 to the late William and Hattie (Goodhart) Briggs. He had 5 brothers and 1 sister. He joined the Army on January 15, 1943 where he proudly and honorably served his country until his Honorable Discharge in January 1946. While in the service, Ralph received the American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Upon his return, Ralph sought employment with the Refined Sugar Factory in Yonkers, N.Y. where he worked for 42 years up until his retirement. During his years at the sugar factory he met his lovely wife, Barbara L. Conner. They were married in Armonk N.Y. on September 18, 1954 and remained married for 66 years. Ralph was predeceased in death by his sister Matilda, brothers William, Joseph, George, Clifford and Thomas. He is survived by many nieces and nephews whom he affectionately called each one "kid". A visitation will be held at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home at 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco N.Y. 10549 between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. A burial will follow immediately at Kensico Cemetery at 273 Lakeview Avenue Valhalla, N.Y. 10595,
