Margaret M. Porteus, age 89, of Stamford, formerly of Bedford and the Bronx died Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Mrs. Porteus was born May 18, 1920 in Valley Falls, R.I. the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hepburn) Cavanaugh. She is survived by two daughters: Arlene (Michael) Koponen, Marylyn (Stephen) Callow and four sons: Philip (Joyce) Porteus, Raymond (Linda) Porteus, Richard (Marianne) Porteus, Patrick (Stephanie) Porteus. Two sisters: Anne (Gerald) Porteus, Sarah Sullivan. Friends may call on Thursday from 7PM to 9PM and Friday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7PM to 9PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at St. Patrick Church, Route 22, Bedford. Interment will be inSt. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco.
