Nancy P. Re of Yonkers and Southampton, New York died Wednesday February 19, 2020 due to complications of cancer at the age of 86. Born August 21, 1933 in Bompietro, Italy to parents Charles and Mary Pepe, she came to the United States as a teenager, completing her education with a Masters in Italian Literature from Hunter College. On July 20,1957 she married the love of her life Louis P Re and had three children, Louis P Re Jr MD, John C Re Esq, and Paul Re MD. She worked as a teacher at P.S. 45, teaching Italian, French and Spanish. After raising her sons, Nancy returned to teaching in the Yonkers Public School system in the ESL and VIVE SCHOOL programs. She enthusiastically continued to work there until a few months before her death - culminating a long career dedicated to the adult education program in Yonkers. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Louis, brother Lucio, sister Vittoria and her daughter-in-law Dawn Re. She is survived by her son Louis of NYC, son-in-law Kent Belden, son John of Chappaqua NY, grandchildren Samantha, Matthew and Jason, son Paul of Lexington MA, daughter-in-law Andrea and grandchildren Louisa and Max.
