Please share a memory of Salvatore to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Salvatore Buonocore, beloved son, brother, husband, father and nonno died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 11th, 2020. He died just ten days before his 75th birthday. He was born in Acerno, Italy on March 21st, 1945. He moved with his family to Yonkers, New York at the age of 18 and created a wonderful life for himself. He attended City College of New York and obtained a BS in Civil Engineering, supervising many large scale construction projects in the tri-state area, including Trump Towers in Manhattan. He soon met and married the love of his life, Anna. They were married for 44 years and together for 51 years. They had two children, Loren and Marco. Salvatore will be remembered for his wit, sense of humor and easy going yet determined personality. His favorite place to vacation was Wildwood Crest, New Jersey where he took many long walks along the shore and enjoyed the views from his condo's balcony. He loved watching game shows (especially Family Feud) and soccer games. However, the thing he loved most of all was spending time with his family. It was the simple things that made him happy. He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by all that had the honor of knowing him. His family will miss him tremendously.
