Two Loving Tributes About Sandra Children Sandra (Greek Origin) “Helper of Mankind” “You Lord are all I have and You give me all I need. My future is in your hands.” Psalm 16:5 Sandra was a beautiful, caring, loving, kind, and nurturing soul and spirit. A ray of sunshine that lite up any room she entered. She went the extra mile for anyone especially her children. My mom was born on October 23, 1944 and her birthstone is Opal. Opal symbolizes innocence, creativity, purity and hope. My mom was pure and genuine and touched and brightened lives of everyone she knew; friends, co-workers and especially her family. My mom was a person that brought happiness into the lives of others. Mom was not only our protector of our feelings but she also always shielded us from harm’s way. Mom always wanted her children to be happy and gave us unconditional love. My mom was extremely creative in so many ways. My mom was such a great cook from lasagna, manicotti and a host of other Italian dishes. She had a passion for plants, for plants, for plants, flowers, and cooking. My mom was a beautiful gem not only on the inside but the outside. She had a heart of gold. Husband The luckiest day of my life was the first day I meant Sandra on Labor Day weekend at the Beechmont Club in Long Island Beach. To me it was love at first sight. I found out that she lived on Rumsey Road in Yonkers within a few miles from where I lived. Yet we met in Long Beach, Long Island. As it turned out, due to my relentless pursuit for her, we got married. Sandra was a travel agent and with the help of her father Everest Massimi, she put together for us a 1st class three week honeymoon in Italy. Thereafter, my uncle Cataldo Petrone let us rent an apartment in his new two- family home, where Sandra gave birth to our two wonderful children, Gina & Paul. After saving for a home, Sandra who always wanted the best had me build for her a custom home in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Yes, as a CPA, at the time, I was transformed into a general contractor with the help of her Uncle Ezio and Dave Antenucci. Sandra was instrumental in raising our two lovely children in our home, to grow not only with strength of character, but also to be loving, warm, and kind. We love them very much. Sandra was one of a kind. She was warm, loving, understanding and helpful to everyone she came in contact with. We will miss her very much and thankful she didn’t suffer. Sandra, God Bless you and rest in peace. We love you always and forever.
