Obituary of Vincenzo Leone

Vincenzo Leone of Yonkers, New York peacefully passed away at age 86, surrounded by his loved ones on March 26, 2020. Vincenzo was a beloved husband to his late wife, Antonia, and a great father to his five children and grandchildren. Vincenzo was born in Torre di Ruggerio, Calabria, Italy on April 20, 1933 to Vincenzo Leone and Nicolina Inannuzzi. Vincenzo married Antonia Leone in 1955 in Calabria, Italy and then immigrated to Yonkers, New York in 1973 with their five children to start a new chapter of their lives together. Vincenzo was most happy staying home and "watching the house" and caring for his garden so there were enough tomatoes for his kids, neighbors and friends. He was always a hard worker & he always cherished his family having dinner together every night. He always welcomed family, friends and neighbors and even the mailman to share his famous soppressata and homemade wine with peaches. We love you Papa and will always remember the sacrifices you made for us throughout your life. Although you will be missed, "CheChe", you will forever remain in our hearts. Vincenzo is survived by his five children: Giuseppe Leone (Graziella), Maria Malchar (Luddy), Graziano Leone (Lisset), Renato Leone and Caterina Ricciardi (John); his nine grandchildren: Anthony, Antonella (Ralph), Vincent, Nicholas, Crisleidy, Giuseppe Jr., JohnDominic, Ariana, and Isabella. Entombment to take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY It will be a private family funeral.
