Obituary of Marie C Carbone

Marie (Maturi) Carbone, longtime Yonkers resident passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 13, 2020. She is survived by her son Nicholas, her sisters Loretta Tambini, Angela Porco, and Agnes Baione, her grandchildren Stephen, Michelle Wall (Mark), Rachel Caruso (Joseph), and great grandchildren Olivia, Nicholas, and Lorenzo. She was loved by all who came in contact with her. A strong person whose greatest gift was always putting other people's needs before her own. While in her 70's, she became a volunteer at St. John's Hospital in Yonkers, bringing flowers and warm words of wisdom to the patients there. The passing of her beloved daughter Aggie Mignano in January of this year left her with a heavy heart, but contact with family and friends on a regular basis helped to elevate her spirits. She will be interred at Ferncliff Cemetery, reunited with her beloved husband Albert. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
