Pauline Americo...Maiden name: Mangieri... February 9th,1933 - April 23rd, 2020. Beloved wife & mom. Survived by son Joseph Americo, and daughters Debra Americo & Linda Americo Maffei (Michael.) Pre-deceased by husband Nicholas Americo. I am writing this today with much sadness and an aching heart. This morning our mom passed away from the corona virus. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's for the past 14 years. Her journey with Alzheimer's was devastating. We have seen her decline day by day, from a strong woman to someone who was robbed of her speech, motor skills, and other faculties. Spending so much time with her taught us unconditional love. We, her children saw her decline through the years and felt her devastation, but we always tried to make her life as normal as possible. And always knowing she was still "in there". This morning God held out His Hand and welcomed our mom into Heaven. We know she will now be at peace. She was a mother, wife, daughter, and friend to many. She was always welcoming to all and very generous. We will always miss her and always be grateful for the time we had with her. Go with God and with the Angels now mom. And rest now as you surely deserve to. Daddy and the rest of the family are waiting for you.
