Obituary of Rosetta Clavenna

Rosetta Clavenna was born Rosa Aurora Bonuomo on August 14, 1913 to Francesca Lendon and Salvatore Bonuomo, in Vittoria, Ragusa, Italia. Francesca died when Rosa was five years old, Rosa was raised by Maria Teresa Bonuomo (wonderful second mother). Rosa Aurora Bonuomo married Natale Clavenna in 1938 in Asmara, Eritrea. They had three daughters, Luciana Clavenna (Pepenella), Marisa Clavenna (Ciucci) and Laura Clavenna (Orozco). Marisa passed away on October 5, 2008. They moved to Argentina where Natale died; upon Natale's death, they moved to New York to join Rosa's brother, Leo Menotti and his family. She was a wonderful mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Mother in Law. She helped raise all her daughter's children. She is survived by her daughters, Luciana and Laura and her sons in law Antonio Penenella, Atlilio Ciucci and Jose Antonio Orozco. She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Liliana, Carla and Atilio Ciucci, Adelina and Tonino Pepenella and Silvia Orozco. Her Grandsons in law are: Oscar Filipe, Steve Marrone and her Granddaughter in law is Rosella. Her Great Grandchildren are: Marco and Paolo Filipe and Amalia Marisa Marrone. She will also be missed by her nephews, Robert, John and Edward Bonuo mo and their spouses and children. Ciao Mamma, Ciao Nonna. We will always miss you! Friends may call at The Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Monday 9:45 at St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY. Interment Mt Hope Cemetery.
