Obituary of Felice Palma

Felice Palma, age 89, of Yonkers died peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020 from complications from Covid-19. Felice was born September 11, 1930 in San Paolo Civitate, Foggia, Italy the son of the late Nicola and Filomena (Lucchese) Palma. He was one of four children. When Felice was a young man, he went to England to find work and became an iron worker. On March 8th, 1958 he married his "true love", Antoinetta DiRubba-Palma. During his 11 years of living in England, Felice and Antoinetta had three daughters. Besides working his main job, he worked several side jobs to support his family. On October 28th, 1967 Felice and his family came to the United States and settled in Yonkers to live the "American Dream" Felice began working as an excavation technician and foreman for Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla until his retirement in 1995. Felice is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Antonetta Palma, his four daughters; Filomena and Daniel Cuneo, Angelina Palma, Lidia and John Pezzulo and Luisa and Eric Unterman. Cherished grandfather of Angelina Unterman, John Pezzulo, Jr., Lisa Unterman, Jessica Unterman and Giuliana DeMarinis. Felice is also survived by his brother in England, Attilio Palma and his nieces Angelina, Nicolina and Assunta of England and Anna who lives in Italy with her family. Felice's first priority was to provide for his family that he loved so much. He will be remembered for being an avid gardener, an outstanding cook and a wonderful family man. He was loved by everyone he met. He was a man of honor and integrity and will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, on Friday, May 15th at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
