Obituary of Kenneth Birnbaum

Ken "Kenny" Birnbaum, 65, of Ardsley, NY, died peacefully at home with his loving wife, Kathy, ever at his side. He was a true friend, wonderful husband, father and Papa. He was a kind soul, diehard METS fan, unwavering proud Spartan, alumnus of Michigan State University--GO GREEN GO WHITE! He is survived by his "Miracle" wife Kathleen, son and daughter-in- law, Michael and Sara Axelbaum and their children Hudson and Denver, son David and partner Alice, Kathy's children, Diana (David) Leibowitz, Ryan and Greg, and sister Ellen DiBenedetto. He is also survived by his dear lifelong friends, Neil (Theresa) Weinstein, Jeff (Heidi) Rabinowitz and John (Georgeanne) Aquino. He was predeceased by his parents Milton and Edith Birnbaum. Ken was a lover of sports and music, blasting Jethro Tull or Peter Gabriel on the stereo. Ken loved to tell jokes, meet new people and enjoyed the banter created with those he just met. He has a loyal Facebook following, reconnecting with friends from high school, college, and making many new friends. In this way, he remained a loyal friend, always giving support and encouragement.
