Frank J. Ventura, age 77, of Yonkers died Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Mr. Ventura was born November 3, 1931 in the Bronx to the late Jack and Memie (Provenzano) Ventura. Beloved husband of Theresa M.(Carpentieri) Ventura. Loving father of Brother Jack R. Ventura, S.M., Denise Ventura Matthews and father-in-law of Kevin Matthews. Dear grandfather of Brendan Matthews. Brother of Lena, Paula and the late Lucy. Brother-in-law of Joe (Bea), Rose, Ralph (Catherine) and the late Angelo (Gloria), Patsy and Ann. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. "Cheech," as he was known to his family and many friends, served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Friends may call on Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7PM to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, 2009 at St. John The Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers at 10:30am. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Marianist Province of the US; 4425 West Pine Boulevard.; St. Louis, MO 63108
