On Monday, July 6, 2020, Edward Shuluk, loving husband of Mary Shuluk and father of three children, passed away at the age of 94.
Edward was born on February 16, 1926 in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY to Joseph and Amelia Shuluk. He joined the Navy in 1943 at 17 and served 12 years in both WWII and Korea. On October 17, 1953 he married Mary Elizabeth Bianchi and they raised three sons, Eddie, Gary, and Greg. After his military service he was a business owner of Nicks Italian Restaurant a family owned restaurant for over 50yrs in Hastings. He also worked at the US Postal Service where he retired after 23years. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving St. Stanislaus church as an usher for 60 yrs.
He is survived by his wife Mary, his three children, Eddie, (Michelle) Gary, (Suzette) and Greg, (Sharon) and four grandchildren, Carolyn, Greg jr, Jourdan, and Julia Shuluk.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2020 from 3pm-6pm at Sinatra's Community Home for Funerals, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers NY 10704 A mass of Christian burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: support woundedwarriorproject.org
