Jose Guillen, age 77, of the Bronx died Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Jose was born October 6, 1942 in the San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, the son of the late Jose Concepcion and Maria Salome (Garce) Guillen. He was employed as a Factory Worker for 36 years. In his youth Jose had the wonderful opportunity to play professional baseball. He was a major fan of the sport and coached many young local players. He was loved by everyone. He is survived by his beloved wife Paula (Araujo) Guillen, his children Mario, Janette, Shawn, Janice and Yesenia. José Guillén, de 77 años, del Bronx murió el martes 4 de agosto de 2020. José nació el 6 de octubre de 1942 en San Cristóbal, República Dominicana, hijo del difunto José Concepción y María Salomé (Garce) Guillén. Fue empleado como obrero de fábrica durante 36 años. En su juventud, José tuvo la maravillosa oportunidad de jugar béisbol profesional. Era un gran fanático del deporte y entrenó a muchos jugadores locales jóvenes. Fue amado por todos. Le sobreviven su amada esposa Paula (Araujo) Guillén, sus hijos Mario, Janette, Shawn, Janice y Yesenia. Friends may call on Sunday from 3PM to 7PM at the Community Home for Funerals Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 at Community Home for Funerals Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
