Umberto Lauro DiNobile of Yonkers, NY passed away on August 13, 2020. Born in Palena, Chieti, Italy on October 1, 1927 the son of Adriano DiNobile and Angelina Como DiNobile
Umberto came to United States August 15,1949 and joined the Palenese Society on September 5, 1949 and held office of Vice Recording Secretary for many years. Umberto married Mary Cicalo on September 16,1951 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers NY. Umberto worked as a Sr. wood scaffold builder with Palmieri Construction Co. He joined the Laborers International Union of North America in 1949. Umberto also worked for Forge Construction and Rosen and Rosen as a chief scaffold builder. Umberto taught Scaffold Building techniques for the White Plains School district. His love for cooking for family and friends was enjoyed by many. Umberto was predeceased his loving wife Mary Cicalo DiNobile on July 30, 2014.
Surviving are his loving children: Andrew {Carol} DiNobile, AnnMarie {Peter}Lafemina, and
Robert {Mariaelena} DiNobile. His cherished grandchildren: Andrew {Erica} DiNobile, Michelle {John} DeMasi, Anthony DiNobile, and Adrianna DiNobile. His cherished great grandchildren: Anthony and Gianna DeMasi, Brooklyn and Madison DiNobile. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
