Viola Daquila passed away peacefully at her residence on September 19, 2020, one day shy of her 93rd birthday. Viola was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Cianciulli and is predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. What started as a pen pal relationship during World War II developed into marriage to her husband Albert. They were married at St. Barnabas church in the Bronx on June 26, 1949 and went on to raise five children, Diane Torino (Frank), Albert (Ginger), Joseph, Francis (Joyce), and Donna Sayegh (Sami). Viola found great joy from her grandchildren, Anthony, Jenny, Adam, Lauren, Jaclyn, Nicolas, Michael, Cassie, Matthew, and Christopher. She also has eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. In addition to being a caring housewife she was employed as a bookkeeper for Tony Casale Landscaping for many years. Viola was a dedicated wife and mother embracing every moment with her family. She was a woman of great strength and an unwavering faith. Her memory will bring comfort to all that had the pleasure to know her. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, New York. The funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:45am at St. Barnabas Church 409 E. 241st Street, Bronx, New York. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yonkers, NY
