A graduate of The George Washington University, Rob earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and, while at GWU, he coordinated a program in photography and film making at the Corcoran School of Art. When his father died at a young age, Rob returned home and helped keep the family sporting goods business running successfully for over 20 years. He later went on to study at the International Center for Photography in NYC, to pursue his lifelong passion for photography.
Rob became an accomplished photographer, shooting travel photos and videos worldwide. Having worked in over 75 countries, his photos appear on front covers of books such as the Lonely Planet and World Nations. His photos have been featured in the Huffington Press, USA Today, East Hampton Star, Dan's Paper's, Travel Channel, Time Out, MSN, Yahoo and others. His work is featured in travel guides such as Fodor's and Frommer's. His diverse career in photography included travel, theater, corporate, portrait and real estate photography. Rob particularly loved his work as staff production photographer for the Broadway Training Center, which he did for over 15 years.
Rob was a man of many talents. In addition to his professional career in photography, he enjoyed other creative arts including writing, film making, painting, and playing guitar and saxophone. Rob was also a self-taught stock options trader, as well as an avid tennis player and movie buff. He loved to work, travel, learn and create. He had a great sense of humor, was optimistic and compassionate and lived life to the fullest. Rob will be remembered and missed by family and friends, both locally and internationally.
