Obituary of Robert S. Yuscak

Robert Stephen Yuscak, died on 11/03/2020 after a long illness. He was born in Yonkers to the late Stephen and Rose Domchek Yuscak. He graduated from Most Holy Trinity Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School and earned a Bachelor in Business degree from Iona College in 1957. Robert served in the National Guard in 1957 and worked for Liberty Mutual as a Claims Manager for more than 30 years before retiring. On June 22, 1957 he married the love of his life, Janet Dzubak Yuscak, who predeceased him in 2010. Robert is survived by his children: Thomas (Camille) Yuscak, Terry (Tim) Sanker, Paul (Barbara) Yuscak and Jean (Alby) Vezzuto; grandchildren: Christopher and Victoria Yuscak, Jessica and Joseph Vezzuto, Grace and Amelia Sanker and five step-grandchildren; Dolores Pietropaolo and Matthew (Pat) Dzubak, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; as well as many Domchek and Hichak cousins and his beloved group of lifelong friends. Robert and Janet were blessed with a warm and loving family which included their core group of friends, five of whom attended kindergarten together and maintained lifelong friendships, raising their children together, playing cards on Friday nights and of course taking many vacations together throughout the years. Robert has been a true patriarch sharing his wisdom with his children and grandchildren. His sharp wit and sense of humor was his trademark; greeting "Bobby Yush" earned you a big smile of recognition throughout his journey. The family is blessed and grateful to have cared for Robert at home honoring his legacy of love and family first and foremost. Friends may call on Friday from 4pm to 8pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 at Monastery of the Sacred Heart Church, 108 Shonnard Place, Yonkers. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Yonkers.
