Please share a memory of Mazin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mazin Yousef Hattar died at his residence on November 30, 2020 at the age of 64. He was born on December 5, 1955 in Al Salt, Jordan to the late Yousef Ibrahim Hattar and Bana Hattar. He was predeceased by his loving siblings, Malik, Majid and Muna. His is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary (Jereis), children Yousef (Sanna), Jacqueline (Saleem), Ibrahim (Tara), Salameh (Jamie) and Jereis (Lauren) and nine grandchildren Joseph, Lina, Layla, Issa, Sophia, Gabriela, Nicholas, Jameson and Grayson, brother Maher Hattar and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mazin was born in Jordan and emigrated to New York in 1975 with his mother and siblings. They settled in Yonkers. Upon arriving Mazin began working at Stewart Stamping in Yonkers as a Tool and Die Maker. Mazin had a passion for music, playing many instruments, particularly the accordion and the oud. He was a member of a 14-piece orchestra that accompanied many middle-eastern signers. Mazin was someone that touched many people's lives. He was a generous and caring individual who was willing to help those in need. He was a friend to all that knew him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, smile and kind heart. But above all, family was the most important thing to him. The value of togetherness and caring for one another was pillar in his beliefs. The world lost a great man. A wife lost her husband. His children lost their father. His grandchildren lost their Jido. Countless others lost a great friend. May he rest in peace and his memory be eternal.
