Obituary of Ann Marie E Pandolfo

Please share a memory of Ann Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ann Marie Pandolfo (nee Tartamella) passed away at the age of 76 on December 11th, 2020 at Westchester Medical Center after having 2 extensive surgeries. Ann Marie was the middle child born to Paul and Ann Tartamella in Brooklyn, NY. She had an older brother Michael and younger sister Linda. Ann Marie was the first female child born to the Tartamella family in many many years and it was quite a celebration. Ann Marie went on a blind date in 1961 and met her husband to be, Jack Pandolfo, who was a pharmacist. They dated for 4 years and were married in 1965. They were blessed with 2 children. First a girl they named Maria Elena and secondly a son they named John. The family moved from Brooklyn to Yonkers, NY in 1978 where Jack could be closer to his work. Ann Marie and Jack were avid bowlers and were involved a few leagues. They were good enough to become league champions. They also loved to entertain friends and family at home. Ann Marie's life took a tragic turn in 1991 when she lost her beloved husband to complications from a long battle with kidney disease. She missed her husband terribly but she had to take care of her children. Ann Marie herself suffered from many ailments and had many surgeries after her husband passed. Many would never really know how much pain she suffered because she always kept a sunny disposition when she was around others. She was so proud to see both of her children marry and she was ecstatic when she became a grandmother (nana) to her precious granddaughter Adrianna. Ann Marie's death came as a shock to everyone because she was such a fighter and always came through like a "Rockstar". She will be missed by so many people. She was fondly known as "Mama P" and "Mrs. P". She always enjoyed being a part of any party or celebration. She had that gift of making everyone feel comfortable and part of the family. Ann Marie is survived by her daughter Maria Elena DiNobile (Robert), son John Pandolfo (Tommy O'Brien), and granddaughter Adrianna DiNobile. She is also survived by her sister Linda Manning (Richard) as well as many loving nieces & nephews. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ann Marie Pandolfo's name to one of her favorite charities, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/give.html Due to Covid-19 the Funeral Service and Funeral Mass is private and only open to immediate family. The Pandolfo Family thanks you for your understanding during the difficult time.
