Obituary of Richard McLoughlin

Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Richard had been struggling with cancer and had surgery at Sloan Kettering. After the surgery he stayed with his family for six weeks to recover, then returned to his own home. Rich was a Systems Engineer with an international technology company, was a talented musician, an avid bike rider, and had travelled all over the world. He had been doing very well managing his health issues, and his death was unexpected. It appears that he passed peacefully in his bed. Needless to stay his family is devastated and they have chosen to have a private funeral so as not to subject anyone to any pandemic exposure. Richard is survived by his mother, Marjorie McLoughlin, his sister, Katherine McLoughlin, and his wife, Eri Watanabe. The family is appreciative of the memorial from his employer, Eze Castle, and requested for it to be included: It is with great sadness that I share the passing of Rich McLoughlin. Over the past 9 years, Rich has been a member of the Field Services team dedicated to Apex out of the Stamford Office. Whether it was slogging through tickets all day, hopping on a plane multiple times to Ireland to lead complicated projects, or simply to share some good humor, Rich was always ready to jump in and support his fellow teammates. Rich was a man of many talents and hobbies - from playing bass in a world-touring band to long-distance cycling – he was easygoing, always-pleasant and always a real pleasure to strike up a conversation with. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made in honor of Rich to Cardinal McCloskey Community Services at https://www.cmcs.org/donate
