Obituary of Rodolfo "Rudi" Forchetti

Dec. 23, Rodolfo "Rudi" Forchetti of Yonkers, NY passed away at the age of 73. Rudi was born Sept. 27, 1947 in Colledimezzo, Abruzzi Italy to Giulia (Monaco) and Pietro Forchetti. Rudi was the youngest of four boys. His brothers Nino, Flavio and Romeo adored him and took care of him after the unexpected death of his mother at a young age. Rudi left Italy to join his older brothers and settled in Yonkers where he first started painting homes for a living, building his construction business through the development of Forchetti Brothers Contracting. He was multi-talented in the areas of construction and masonry. Rudi left his mark in the Westchester area through the building and development of many properties. Rudi was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting and creating pieces of art in his free time. He loved soccer, cooking and worshipped the sun. He was such a beautiful soul with a zest for life. He was loyal and devoted to all his family and friends and would do anything to help them. He had a constant will to better those around him and leave a positive impact on their lives. Those that knew Rudi always felt welcomed in his presence. He lived his life unselfishly and was always there to lend a hand in need. Rudi also loved animals including his dog Sweetie who was always by his side. Julianna, Rudi's only daughter was the light of his life. Rudi was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews and a caring loving brother and brother-in-law. Rudi loved to spend summers in Italy at his childhood home which he recently restored with his brother. He took his daughter for the first time in 2015. It was the most amazing vacation according to Rudi. He was so proud to introduce Julianna to his extended family in Italy and to experience the culture and life he loved. He spoke about that trip often and had planned to return this year. Rudi is survived by his only daughter Julianna, his wife Rosanna (Delarosa), stepson Robert Cespedes, brother Romeo (Eva) Forchetti, Sister in Laws, Maria (Flavio) Forchetti, Frances (Nino) Forchetti, Nieces and Nephews: Peter (Jackie ) Forchetti, Julia (Joseph) Ricciuti, Imma (Luigi) Carletto, Maria (Keli) Paska, John (Cindy) Forchetti, Gino (Linda) Forchetti, Robert (Sonia) Forchetti and Julia Forchetti. Rudi was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Nino and brother Flavio. He will be missed dearly. We will always love you and your spirit will live on through Julianna.
