Obituary of Anne Prestamo

In the early morning of January 11, 2021, Anne (Billie) Prestamo was called home to God, passing peacefully in her sleep at St. John's Riverside Hospital. Born on May 4th 1932 to William and Elinor Celli, Anne was a lifelong Yonkers resident. She attended Yonkers schools and worked at NY Telephone upon graduation. Then, in 1968, she began her 42 year career of dedicated service to St. Peter's School and Church, where she made many friends and touched many lives. Billie, as she was known by many, was the most devoted Frank Sinatra fan, proud of her collection of music, movies, and memorabilia. She looked forward to her cruises with her husband Angelo and friends, an occasional visit to the casino, watching her favorite soap opera (General Hospital) each day, and celebrating every birthday with her family. A devout Catholic, she had the patience of a saint, was a kind, loving, generous person to everyone she came in contact with. Anne will truly have a special place in heaven and will be missed by all she has left behind. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Prestamo. Devoted Mother to Anthony (Laurie) Prestamo, Angelo (Leslie) Prestamo. Cherished Grandmother of AJ, Morgan, Andrew, and Michele Prestamo and Donald, David, and Peter Spampinato. Visiting hours will be at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers NY 10704 on Thursday, January 14 from 2-6pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Church, 91 Ludlow Street, Yonkers, NY 10705 at 10 am.
